What is Liquid Natural Gas or LNG

Natural Liquefied Gas (LNG), consisting mainly of Methane between 90% and 99% (the rest is made up of other gases such as Butane and Ethane often referred to as liquid methane) is Natural Gas transformed into liquefied form and kept -160 ° C in cryogenic tanks.

The great advantage of using LNG is obvious: by leveraging the methane transform that in liquid form reduces its 600 times its volume, it is possible to transport it to rubber.

LNG is also a fuel with even greater features than the Natural Gas Conduct since, thanks to the liquefaction process, it is always 99.9% fuel and methane gas, unlike that of pipelines that can contain up to 15% of non-combustible gases.

Liquefaction is an unimaginable process normally carried out in the producing countries, which alternately takes place by compression and cooling of methane up to -161 ° C, and is therefore normally stored in cryogenic tanks to keep it at low temperature for a long time.

It is odorless and colorless, lighter in air.

It has a calorific power much higher than other fuels. It is particularly efficient in storage, thanks to a density (0.45 kg/l) that allows you to have a strong reserve of energy in a small space.
